Yellowcraigs Loop

Sunday morning and J and I got up and out and headed West.

Along the beach which I completely take for granted – it’s where I walked with Annie strapped to my front when she was 6 months old, where Rhys ran into the sea fully dressed (many times), it’s where we’ve spent countless sunny summer days and winter walks, it’s my mum and Bella’s favourite place, it’s where I last walked with my dad in NB, it’s part of our lives and we are so lucky to have it on our doorstep.

We took a minute to check out Uri Gellers island – Lamb – one of the Great Pyramids of Scotland (https://www.urigeller.com/why-i-bought-lamb-island/). Have a read if you want an insight into Uri’s mind! Set alongside Fidra, Craigleith and the Bass Rock. Then headed along to Yellowcraigs.

We cut up off the beach to Dirleton, which has to win the prettiest town award. Then back along the fields to home. We are ridiculously spoiled living here.

  1. I am loving reading your blog entries. Your detail makes each one interesting and your photos are great. This is a part of Scotland which we simply have never explored and I’m saving your routes for a time when we might be free to get out to follow in your footsteps. Thankyou!
