The reason I decided to take on this challenge was first and foremost to honour the memory of my dad at a time when so many of the usual rituals have been taken from us. I’m also hoping it allows me the chance to breathe and process the events of 2020. And importantly, it’s a way to recognise the work of Parkinson’s UK and all the associated organisations which were fundamental in helping my dad and us as a family, through the challenges we’ve faced over the past 8 years.

And if you need a reminder of why it matters, here’s a little message sent to me by a friend, just for us, from Steve Ford at Parkinson’s UK:
Thank you.
